Taco Bell will surprise customers with the addition of an unexpected food item to its menu list. To celebrate the coming of a new year, the restaurant chain is launching its Crispy Chicken Wings in 2022.
Taco Bell customers can try this new item in its stores across the United States starting Jan. 6. Each order of the new chicken wing menu will offer five pieces of deep-fried wings coated in Mexican queso seasoning. It will be served with the spicy ranch dipping sauce, as per Today News.
But then again, customers must act fast to taste this new chicken offer because it will only be in Taco Bell stores for a very limited time. The restaurant will sell it for exactly one week and it will be taken off from the board.
But there is some good news - while the new chicken wings are only available for exactly seven days, Taco Bell has other new items coming in January and they will be in stores for a longer time.
Aside from the Taco Bell Crispy Chicken Wings, the Chipotle Cheddar Chalupa will also be on the menu for this holiday season. It will be out on Dec. 23 and will stay until supplies last.
Thrillist reported that customers could choose from various meat options, including plant-based protein, steak, or chicken to enjoy the chalupa. Generally, this features meat, creamy chipotle sauce, and cheese. The new Beefy Melt Burrito and Fiesta Veggie Burrito are also available as part of the new food item list.
At any rate, Taco Bell's new Crispy Chicken Wings will be sold for $5.99 and will not be offered before 2 p.m. in US outlets.
"Taco Bell is no stranger to taking a familiar favorite and putting a unique spin on it (nacho fries, anyone?!) and wings are the latest creation from the test kitchen masterminds," CNN Business quoted the restaurant as saying about its new menu addition.
Peter Saleh, BTIG research firm's restaurant analyst, told CNN Business not long ago that chicken wings are perfect for delivery and for feeding a large number of people thus Taco Bell made a good decision in adding it to its menu even for a limited time.
"It retains its heat. You can buy to feed a family or multiple people, so it's more communal," the analyst said.
