Applebee’s is the latest company to announce a job recruitment event this month. The American grill and bar restaurant chain is aiming to hire at least 10,000 additional staff.
Perks for booking an interview with Applebee’s
To ensure that people will come and apply for the various positions that Applebbe’s needs to fill in, the California-based firm is offering a free appetizer voucher, as per Fox Business. This is the incentive for the company’s recruitment day that was scheduled in time for the 2021 “National Hiring Day.”
The restaurant chain made the announcement of its hiring schedule on Monday, May 11. However, Applebee’s stated that this will be a 1-day event only but will be hosted in all of its 1,600 outlets across the U.S. As mentioned before, the goal is to get 10,000 workers on board.
"At Applebee’s, we see guests as neighbors and team members as family, and we’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of new team members to the neighborhood this summer to start their career with us," Kevin Carroll, Applebee’s chief operations officer, said in a press release. "Our restaurants offer team members the flexibility to write their own story, be themselves and have fun – if this sounds like the right fit for you, head to an Applebee’s restaurant near you on May 17 to see why you belong here and get that free appetizer!"
The hiring day free vouchers
The National Hiring Day this year is set for May 20, but at Applebee’s, it scheduled its own recruitment day on May 17. Jobseekers can apply only from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in any Applebee’s restaurant near them, and they can go for either part-time or full-time roles.
As for availing of the job application incentive, applicants just need to approach the manager, and after securing an interview, they will be given the free appetizer voucher. It should be noted that this perk is only given to interviewees who are 18 years old and above.
Applebee’s will also be accepting same-day walk-in applicants during the hiring event. Finally, some of the job roles available in the restaurant operations and management include servers, cooks, bartenders, cooks, order preppers, dishwashers, outlet managers, and more.
