PepsiCo has come up with a new beverage dubbed the Pepsi Maple Syrup Cola in collaboration with pancake house IHOP, which will only be available through a social media giveaway until March 29.
Oddly, this soda won't be available at IHOP locations.
The new Pepsi flavor combines "the indulgent flavor profile of maple syrup with the crisp, refreshing caramel notes of a Pepsi." The soda can highlights this description by featuring vibrant imagery of a golden cascade of maple syrup dripping from the top.
Soda lovers are asked to post a photo or video of a stack of pancakes on either Instagram or Twitter, tagging @IHOP and adding the hashtags #ShowUsYourStack and #PepsiSweepstakes.
Pepsi would select 2,000 winners who will receive a can, including one who will also be surprised with a custom Pepsi Spout, patterned after the iconic IHOP syrup pitchers, that will perfectly pour the Pepsi Maple Syrup Cola.
In the past couple of years, Pepsi has recently been offering unorthodox limited-edition flavors, such as Pepsi Apple Pie, Pepsi Cocoa Cola, Pepsi Peeps, and Pepsi Cracker Jack.
