Yu-Shan is a research associate at the Africa-China Reporting Project (ACRP), Department of Journalism, University of Witwatersrand. Prior to this, she was a researcher on foreign policy issues at the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), 2010-2017.
She is also a doctoral candidate (International Relations) at the Department of Political Sciences, University of Pretoria. Her study focus is on China's public diplomacy in Africa.
