The premiere of “Jack Ryan” season 3 is likely the least of concern to many, but there are still avid fans out there who want to know about this key piece of information. All they can do now is speculate based on other details available, and it would not be surprising if the next season will not be released until late 2021.
‘Jack Ryan’ season 3 release date
Amazon Prime Video’s take on Tom Clancy’s “Ryanverse” has been a massive hit among TV fans and has yet to miss a year with new episodes since its first season debuted. Unfortunately, 2020 could be the year when the cycle would be broken.
Many TV and movie productions were forced to halt so that cast and crew can stay home and observe social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It appears that “Jack Ryan” season 3 is not exempted. John Krasinski, who plays the titular role, is spending his time recently to spread good vibes by launching his YouTube channel called Some Good News. He posts weekly videos in a news program format with nothing feel-good reports, comedic skits, and star-studded guests.
This goes to show that the production of “Jack Ryan” season 3 is also not on top of his list of priorities at the moment. And with considering the months left in 2020 without any filming done for the political thriller, the chance of a premiere this year is getting even lower.
Hoping that situation will get better in the coming months, there is a small chance for “Jack Ryan” season 3 to start filming before the end of the year. When that happens, fans could be looking at a late 2021 release date since previous seasons took a year or more to complete production.
This is not a guaranteed scenario, though. With the way things are going this year, it would not be surprising to see “Jack Ryan” season 3 premiere as late as 2022.
‘Jack Ryan’ season 3 plot, cast
There were earlier rumors that Krasinski is getting more involved in crafting the “Jack Ryan” season 3 scripts. Since the first and second season practically had independent plots, there is no way of determining what would happen next for TV’s most popular CIA officer.
However, there might be a change of dynamic in the field. With Greer (Wendell Pierce) declaring he reached his limit in going to field missions, Jack would need a new partner, and Mike November (Michael Kelly) might have the proper credentials for that.
