Xiaomi, the world’s 4th largest smartphone maker, recently launched Mi Pad 2 and Redmi Note 3. Interestingly, the former is available in two variants – Windows 10 OS as well as the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
Mi Pad 2 running Android OS surfaced on Antutu benchmark database with a score of 85,101, lagging behind only Huawei Mate 8 (score 92746) and Meizu Pro (score 85652), Gizmo China reported. The score indicates that the device will deliver a fast and flawless performance.
Speaking of specifications, the 7.9-inch tablet has 1536x2048 resolution (324 ppi). It is powered by Quad core Intel Atom X5-Z8500 processor along with 2 GB RAM. Internal storage options for 16/64 GB are available and can be extended to 128 GB using microSD card slot.
It is equipped with 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. It supports 802.11 Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. It comes with Li-Po 6190 mAh battery that supports up to 12 hours 30 minutes (multimedia) talktime.
Coming to the price, Phone Arena says the 16GB version of the tablet is priced at $156 USD, while the 64GB model running either Android or Windows 10 will cost $203 USD. The device will apparently be available only in China and other Asian markets.
