SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 11, 2017 -- Proofpoint, Inc., (NASDAQ:PFPT), a leading next-generation security and compliance company, today announced its Board of Directors has appointed Richard Wallace as a new independent director, effective May 9, 2017.
Mr. Wallace currently serves as chief executive officer and president and as a member of the board of directors of KLA-Tencor Corporation, a leading provider of process control and yield management solutions. Mr. Wallace began as an applications engineer at KLA Instruments in 1988, and has held various general management positions throughout his 29-year tenure with the company. Earlier in his career, he held positions with Ultratech Stepper and Cypress Semiconductor.
Wallace currently serves on the board of directors for NetApp, Inc., a data management solutions company.
