Portland, OR, April 04, 2017 -- Dealership owner Will Varuso and General Manager Brett Davidson have a lot in common – they’re both risk takers, they’re both “car fanatics,” and they both love being out on the water. In addition to that, they are best friends who now run a business together.

After working at another dealership together for years, Varuso and Davidson decided they wanted to venture out and do something different. They both left the dealership, deciding to start their own from scratch.
DaVinci Motor Group was born. The dealership has officially been in business since December 2015, with its beginnings in Varuso’s driveway. Only fifteen months later, the LaPlace, Louisiana-based dealership is an established, well-known, quality choice for classic and exotic car sales as well as late model boats. The dealership has now been in its location for nearly one year.
When asked what inspired Varuso and himself to make such a bold move, Davidson explained that it came from their common passion for both types of vehicles. “I don’t even know of a place that does boats and high-end cars like we do,” Davidson says.
Davidson describes his dealership’s work team as “more or less a family business.” He and Varuso are childhood friends who went to college together, and have always been close. And those close relationships translate well to their interactions with customers. “We try to treat everyone as if we were selling to a family member,” Davidson says. DaVinci Motor Group team prioritizes strong customer service, and believes in going above and beyond for customers.
In regards to gaining those customers, Davidson calls digital marketing “everything.” Being in the business of high-end cars that sell for very high prices, Davidson says that the exposure of his dealership to the right audience is the most important component of DaVinci Motor Group’s website. “We wouldn’t be where we are now without it – for what we do and what we sell, everything is based off online sales,” Davidson explains. For this tech-savvy duo, a powerful dealership website seemed to be a no-brainer, but Davidson knows that isn’t the case for everyone in his industry. “Dealerships that don’t have a powerful online presence are really missing the boat,” he says.
DaVinci Motor Group previously worked with Speed Digital as a website provider, and Davidson calls the difference between the two “night and day.” He names easy navigation as well as the overall look of the website two key reasons for the improvement with Dealer Spike. “We get compliments on our website constantly,” Davidson says. “People are almost in awe of it – and we really like that.”
As a dealership that is focused on high-end vehicles, the message that the website sends to its visitors is crucial. It’s important that potential customers get the sense that the dealership and its inventory meet the standards they are searching for, and the new Dealer Spike website accomplishes that goal.
According to the lead statistics that Dealer Spike has stored in comparison to lead history with Speed Digital, DaVinci Motor Group has seen an average of 475% increase in leads since the website’s launch in September 2016. Davidson says that in addition to the improved website, the dealership’s Facebook presence as well as online ads for the dealership help to bring traffic to the site and increase visibility – also increasing opportunities for leads.
“We are proud and very pleased to have DaVinci Motor Group as a client,” says Jay Mason, CEO of Dealer Spike. “And we are impressed by their story – these guys are movers and shakers, and we really identify with that here at Dealer Spike. We look forward to a long partnership.”
DaVinci Motor Group doesn’t just stop at boat and auto sales. In January, the team incorporated a detail business as well, offering ceramic coating to extend the life of any vehicle. The dealership takes pride in keeping vehicles looking brand new for a minimum of five years using this service, taking any boat or car regardless of the state of the paint and bringing it back to showroom quality.
