The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has now been unveiled, and the specs of the device are what you’d expect from a flagship of this tier. Of course, with the new entry coming out with different models, we’ll have to separate both of them to see which stands where.
First, we’ll see where the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and the Note 10 Plus have similarities. Both will have an AMOLED display with tone mapping. The main camera will have a 12 MP with f/1.5 and f/12.4 dual aperture.
The wide-angle camera is at 16 MP on an f/2.2, while the Telephoto snapper has 12 MP with f/2.1. Flipping the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus over and you’ll see the front-facing camera occupy the middle of a screen on a sort of punch-hole design. It’s at 10 MP with f/2.2, TheVerge reported.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and the bokeh effect
The difference on the camera department is the inclusion of the DepthVision camera for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus. This feature allows users to play with bokeh and other effects. The bokeh effect, which blurs the background of photos, is also applicable to videos as well.
But while the standard Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is able to do this, the Note 10 Plus is considerably superior in this area thanks to the aforementioned DepthVision addition. Another difference is the RAM, which is at 8GB for the standard variant and goes to a whopping 12GB to the Note 10 Plus.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus’ size difference.
The Plus version is also bigger compared to its little brother having been outfitted with a 6.8-inch, 3040 x 1440 display opposed to the standard one which is at 6.3-inch, 2280 x 1080 display. The storage of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and 10 Plus is identical at 256GB, TechRadar reported.
However, there’s also an option to up the storage to 512GB for the Note 10 Plus, with a possibility of pushing it to 1TB thanks to the microSD expansion present in the pricier version. The processor for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus is the same as both have been given the Snapdragon 855.
As for the battery, the standard version is at 3500 mAh, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus is at 4,300 mAh. So what is the price disparity between the two? The smaller version has been tagged at $949, and the bigger variant is standing on $1,049. There’s also the 5G version which is at $1,299. Pre-orders can be made now but don’t expect to receive the device until Aug. 23.
