Donald Trump revelation: POTUS accuses Barack Obama of 'biggest political crime in American history'

The United States is still seeing a rise in coronavirus cases and deaths, but the government’s focus now appears to be reopening the economy following the lockdown that went on for a month. Recently, President Donald Trump’s focus appears to be regarding Russia and his predecessor Barack Obama, as Trump attacked him on social media yet again.

Trump has attacked Obama on social media and in front of the press before, and in his most recent one, the president accused his predecessor of what he described as the biggest political crime in the country’s history. On Twitter, Trump quote-retweeted a tweet by conservative talk show host Buck Sexton, who claimed that Obama used his last few days in office supposedly trying to sabotage the incoming administration and target the incoming officials. The president then said “The biggest political crime in American history, by far!” as his caption.

At the same time, Trump’s accusation joins Sidney Powell’s claim that the former president was involved in the FBI’s setup against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty of lying to the FBI twice but tried to take back his confession in January. Flynn was among the officials who were convicted following Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia. Trump fired Flynn for lying to Vice President Mike Pence regarding his contacts with the Russian ambassador to the US about the sanctions implemented by the Obama administration as a response to their supposed interference in the 2016 elections.

It should be noted that the US Intelligence Community has long-believed that the Russians interfered with the election. The Republican-led Senate committee in charge of examining this belief has also confirmed this belief as well.

Nevertheless, the Department of Justice Attorney General William Barr surprised everyone with his decision of dropping the charges against Flynn, sending the Democrats into an uproar. Filmmaker and producer Andy Ostroy commented that this is likely Trump’s attempt to salvage his “Dying presidency” along with Barr. Others pointed out that as Trump was attacking Obama on Twitter on Mother’s Day, that he failed to give a shout out to his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, with whom he has one son, Barron Trump. Some also pointed out the increasing death toll from the coronavirus in the United States, as it reached over 80,000 with over 1,300,000 infections.
