I was Dean of the College of Arts and Social Sciences at ANU from 2008 to 2015 and prior to that I was the Director/CEO of the Australian Institute of Criminology for 5 years. I am currently Chair of the Industry and International Advisory Board for the Griffith Criminology Institute, Deputy President of the Ted Noffs Governing Board, and a Board Director of the Social Research Centre PTY LTD. I am a member of the Australian World Values Study and the Australian Election Study research teams.
