Sociologue et anthropologue, Rachid Id Yassine est Docteur de l’EHESS (Paris) et Maître de conférences à l’université Gaston Berger (Sénégal). Invité à Sciences Po Lyon (France), il a aussi enseigné à l’université de Perpignan (France, 2007-2015) avant d’intervenir à l’université Saint-Louis de Bruxelles (Belgique, depuis 2015). Chercheur et administrateur du laboratoire d'analyses des sociétés et pouvoirs - Afrique / Diasporas (LASPAD), il dirige l’Observatoire africain du religieux.
