Darren's research focuses on identity and truth within autobiographical comics. His teaching and practice covers drawing and illustration, concept design, film theory and animation history, storyboarding and storytelling. Darren's current projects include a science-fiction romance comic in collaboration with a physicist and games developer about reincarnation, Aztec gods, and birth control, as well as a series of workshops to democratise storytelling opportunities in marginalised groups.
