During a routine White House press briefing, spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt addressed the issue directly, emphasizing that President Trump continues to stand firmly behind Lutnick. “Secretary Lutnick remains a very important member of President Trump’s team,” Leavitt said, signaling that the administration sees no reason to reconsider Lutnick’s role despite the recent revelations.
