CLEARWATER, Fla., April 18, 2017 -- Clearwater’s Coachman Park was filled with the sounds of thousands of squealing children as they hunted among 30,000 eggs, gathering as many as they could including one of the 275 Golden Eggs that each produced a big, stuffed bunny. For a quarter of a century, Clearwater Community Volunteers, the Church of Scientology and the City of Clearwater have sponsored this very fun and exciting event.

The Hunt happened at 12:30 sharp and was over in under five minutes, but many stayed after the hunt for the attractions.
Tampa’s Bill Lindsey warmed up the crowd with his Elvis and Rock n Roll songs. The children enjoyed pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, train rides on the “Bunny Express,” a gyroscope, giant slide, a large bouncy house, and a bouncy house for the little ones too. The Easter Bunny and his Mrs. wandered around taking pictures with the children.
Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV)
The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) was established in 1994 by parishioners of the Church of Scientology with the purpose of helping to create a better community for all citizens of Clearwater and Pinellas County. CCV raises money to feed homeless and hungry children in Pinellas County through Public Defender Bob Dillinger’s program, Nourish to Flourish, The Sheriff’s Youth Ranch and The Sheriff’s Police Athletic League in Lealman. CCV has raised money, food and toys for family and children’s charities such as The Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, Inc., the Police Athletic League, and The Children’s Home, Inc. CCV gets its inspiration from the precept “Love and Help Children,” one of the 21 precepts found in The Way to Happiness - A Common Sense Guide to Better Living by L. Ron Hubbard.
