Chicago, Illinois, April 06, 2017 -- The John Marshall Law School will honor four of its supporters with its distinguished Spirit Award on April 7. It is among the highest honor that the law school bestows upon loyal, respected members of its community.

The Spirit Award honors individuals who best exemplify the qualities essential to being ambassadors for John Marshall’s rich tradition of diversity, innovation and opportunity. John Marshall’s Board of Trustees established the award in 2008.
“Today’s honorees join an impressive list of men and women who have shaped the law school we know today,” said Paula Hudson Holderman, President of the John Marshall Board of Trustees. “They are extraordinary ambassadors for John Marshall and are selfless in their dedication, leadership and commitment to our law school. This institution changes lives and makes the impossible possible for so many. Today, we thank some of the people whose work has transformed countless lives.”
All of this year’s recipients are current or former members of John Marshall’s Board of Trustees or John Marshall’s Alumni Association, further exemplifying their commitment to the law school’s continued success.
This year’s Spirit Award recipients are:

- Joseph Michael Gagliardo (’77), Managing Partner, Laner Muchin Dombrow Becker Levin & Tominberg Ltd; John Marshall Board of Trustees member

- Nicholas C. Zagotta (’94), Partner, Roberts, McGivney & Zagotta LLC; John Marshall Board of Trustees member
