This online center is designed to provide individuals and organizations in the sport community with comprehensive solutions to prevent sexual and domestic violence and create an effective and long-term investment from the sport community.
“Everyone must work together to end sexual and domestic violence in one generation,” said Lindsay McDaniel Mapp, National Project Manager at Raliance. “We believe that sport plays a critical role in achieving this vision.”
“We encourage everyone involved in sport – from coaches, administrators, league officials to athletes, parents and fans– to use these resources and join Raliance in demonstrating how sport can part of the solution to prevent sexual and domestic violence,” said Sandra Henriquez, Raliance Managing Partner.
Highlights of the Sport + Prevention Center include:
- The Prevention Database, an online portal providing access to more than 100 sexual and domestic violence prevention strategies already being implemented across the sport pipeline.
- A Roadmap that names specific action steps that sport can take to prevent sexual and domestic violence on and off the field.
- Research on sexual and domestic violence in sport, including a peer-reviewed literature review and report on the state of sexual and domestic violence prevention efforts throughout the sport pipeline.
- The Learning Exchange, where leaders in the sport community and sexual and domestic violence prevention experts can share their growing knowledge and experiences in this work.
“We are proud to support Raliance in their innovative and important work,” said Anna Isaacson, NFL Senior Vice President of Social Responsibility. “The creation of the Sport & Prevention Center is a critical step in uniting the sports community to play a role in the prevention of sexual assault.”
