With addiction rates at and all time high, and record number of overdose and deaths, one company is trying to make a difference through education and awareness. Drug news and recovery outlet The Recover has put together a new college scholarship program.
Those looking to apply can do so by downloading the application from the college scholarship page here. Those applying must show current proof of enrollment such as, course registration for upcoming semester, an acceptance letter, or an enrollment verification letter.

The 2018 college scholarship program is for US citizens, and will be awarded to the applicant who writes the best essay written between 1000-2000 words. The subjects of these essays are:
- What types of improvements can be made for college intervention for substance abuse both pre, and post intervention?
- What types of collegiate standards could be put in place to decrease substance abuse in college?
Applicants for the college scholarship program will also have to meet some eligibility requirements. The applicant must be a US citizen, have earned a high school diploma or GED. The student applying must also hold an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, and must provide the documentation through email only. Submit all applications and questions to: [email protected]
The Recover is dedicated to bringing news and education surrounding substance abuse and treatment while also providing an outlet to local US addiction centers. The Recover is offering this scholarship in hopes to bring more awareness to drug and alcohol addiction and recovery options for those who are suffering.
