“It gives me great pleasure to honor Nectar Services as a 2017 recipient of TMC’s Unified Communications Product of the Year Award for their innovative product, Nectar Evolution,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “Our judges were very impressed with the ingenuity and excellence displayed by Nectar Services in their groundbreaking work on Nectar Evolution.”
Nectar Evolution is the first software product of its kind to provide unified Quality of Service (QoS) policy automation for Cisco UC environments, as well as multi-vendor deployments which include other UC platforms such as Microsoft Skype for Business and other third party ecosystem applications. Evolution utilizes Nectar’s dynamic, rules-based policy engine in conjunction with Cisco’s SDN Application Policy Infrastructure Controller — Enterprise Module (APIC-EM), an integral module of Cisco’s DNA, to deliver unified QoS automation and orchestration across a Cisco wired or wireless infrastructure. This results in Evolution delivering significant time and resource savings in network operations, allowing an enterprise to address other operational needs.
“Successfully deploying UC is tied very closely to the overall user experience and adoption across the enterprise environment. The proactive and automated nature of Nectar Evolution ensures end-to-end QoS for both Cisco and Microsoft UC environments and creates reliability across the UC network, improving the user experience,” said David Giangano, chief executive officer at Nectar. “This award demonstrates the value Nectar Evolution brings to the market, and our commitment to developing innovative UC technology that works in any UC environment, no matter the vendor.”
Winners of the 2017 Unified Communications Product of the Year Award will be announced online and highlighted in INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.
