DALLAS, Dec. 20, 2017 -- Wingstop Restaurants Inc. (NASDAQ:WING), the award-winning wing concept with more than 1,000 locations worldwide, announced today that it will expand delivery testing to Austin, Texas. Following the success of delivery tests in Las Vegas, Nev. and Chicago, Ill., Wingstop is building on its partnership with DoorDash, an on-demand delivery platform, as its exclusive delivery partner to bring Wingstop’s made-to-order, hand-sauced and tossed wings, fries and sides to customers throughout Austin.
“We’ve already experienced positive traction in Las Vegas and more recently in Chicago, and are very excited to be making our menu even more accessible to Wingstop fans in Austin through this delivery test,” said Stacy Peterson, Chief Experience Officer of Wingstop. “We continue to see a growing expectation for convenience from today’s consumer and have been very pleased with how our guests have responded to our delivery offering thus far. We are thrilled to expand our partnership with DoorDash again to deliver our wings across the city of Austin.”
“We’re proud that Wingstop has selected DoorDash as its exclusive delivery provider as they continue to expand delivery testing across the country,” said Toby Espinosa, Head of Business Development at DoorDash. “We look forward to further building upon our success as we launch delivery from more than a dozen Wingstop restaurants in Austin.”
Twelve of Austin's Wingstop locations will offer delivery services through DoorDash. All test locations will offer guests new side-order menu items including mac-and-cheese, fried corn, and two new options for hand-cut fries: Louisiana Voodoo fries, and Buffalo Ranch fries.
Since first testing delivery in April of this year, Las Vegas locations have sustained a 10 percent increase in sales.
