Jacksonville Beach, FL, Nov. 13, 2017 -- There is a cold front coming to Jacksonville as Adventure opens its seventh annual WinterFEST at its Jacksonville Beach location on Saturday, November 18. To celebrate the holidays, Shipwreck Island Waterpark has been transformed into a cozy Alpine experience, providing an ideal setting to gather and celebrate with family and friends.

WinterFEST provides fun for all ages with exciting attractions like its outdoor ice skating rink and the Alpine Racer, a 130-foot long ice slide, as well as children’s activities, such as ornament and cookie decorating, and pictures with Santa on select dates. Winter enthusiasts can stroll through Blizzard Bluff Village or visit Crystal Creek Lodge. Guests can also make s’mores and participate in fun games. This year, WinterFEST has partnered with 12 local charities that will showcase their causes on the donated Christmas trees provided by Rockaway Landscape and Garden Center. WinterFEST is open on select days from November 18 through January 8, 2018. Some activities and attractions, including appearances by Santa Claus, are only available on select dates and are subject to change.
