I am interested in understanding how individuals reach decisions and what consequences those decisions have on their lives and the lives of others.
This leads me to foray in a range of interesting disciplines to ask questions about for example the role and nature of information, the definition of complexity, and collective behaviour.
I use this information to help animals and people in two ways: (i) assess when behavioural disturbances caused by human activities will endanger the conservation of a species; (ii) find the better management approaches to navigate human-nature coupled systems towards sustainability.
