Adam de Paor-Evans is a cultural theorist, writer, and hip hop historian focusing on all aspects of hip hop culture. He teaches cultural context in the School of Art, Design and Fashion within the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries at UCLan.
He is an active researcher within the fields of socio-cultural theory, ethnomusicology and material culture, investigating all facets of hip hop studies. He is also interested in the relationships between music culture and representational devices. He is currently writing a monograph entitled: "British Hip Hop: Critical Regionalism, Counter-culture and the Locale" (forthcoming, Equinox Publishing).
