His research focuses on the intersection of material things and security politics; what societies come to see as threats and how they decide to address them. He holds degrees from St. Thomas University (BA, Political Science), the University of Windsor (MA, Political Science), the University of Michigan-Dearborn (MA, Public Policy), and Carleton University (PhD, Political Science).
