Just like every other Expansion Packs of the game, the features and storylines for the upcoming “The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle” is centered on its neighborhood. The next update will bring Simmers to a new city called Evergreen Harbor, where they can choose to thrive in a garbage-filled or a lush community.
‘The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle’ features
While other in-game worlds serve merely as locations, the Evergreen Harbor has a more immersive role in the entire “The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle” gameplay. As shown in the teaser, Simmers would start the next expansion with a gloomy and smog-filled Evergreen Harbor that has a clear surplus in shipping containers.
The next expansion will still give players some sort of free will in the sense that they can let Evergreen Harbor stay the way it is or make it a lush community. In “The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle,” Simmers can opt for different routes in becoming a protector of the environment. The next expansion will deliver new features in the Build/Buy that will allow them to lead a sustainable, eco-friendly lifestyle.
“The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle” trailer gives players some ideas on how to put those scattered shipping containers to better use. Sims can live in them, and this concept would seem like a combination of the upcoming expansion pack and the previously released “Tiny Living” Stuff Pack. It could not be a proper eco-themed content without the ability to use wind turbines and solar panels. Choosing these home equipment will also lead to lesser bills.
Plopsy, the new virtual marketplace where players can sell and buy arts & crafts projects, will also come in handy in “The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle.” With plenty of reusable rubbish across Evergreen Harbor, Simmers will likely be encouraged to be more crafty.
Of course, players can make their Sims play a more active role in keeping Evergreen Harbor clean. Expect to see Evergreen Harbor with plenty of unused spaces that naturally became dumpsites. Sims can change repurpose these spaces by getting the support of their neighbors through the weekly Neighborhood Action Plan polls.
‘The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle’ release date
“The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle” is one of the remaining content updates EA and Maxis have lined up for the rest of 2020 and will have the standard Expansion Pack price of $39.99. The next expansion will go live on Friday, June 5 on PC via Origin, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
