Michelle Obama might be one of the most popular first ladies in the history of modern America, so it is not surprising to hear her name ahead of the Democratic caucuses and primaries. Just recently, former Vice President Joe Biden has once again mentioned one of the Obamas mentioning that he would like for the ex-FLOTUS to be his running mate should he win the nomination against Donald Trump.
Michelle Obama in politics: Could she run as Vice President in 2020?
There are only a few days left before the Iowa caucuses, which is why Democratic candidates are all over the state. Biden was in Muscatine, Iowa earlier this week, where one of the questions from the crowd has once again brought up the name of the Obamas amid the former VP’s campaign.
A man from the audience asked Biden, “Would you consider appointing Obama for the Supreme Court?” After giving a positive answer, the same man pressed which of the Obamas was Biden referring to, and that’s when the Democratic presidential hopeful stated, “I sure would like Michelle to be the Vice President.”

This was not the first time someone from a crowd in Iowa asked Biden about possibly having the Obamas as Supreme Court Justice should he become the 46th President of the United States. Both Michelle Obama and Barack Obama were lawyers by profession before the latter entered politics.
It also was not the first time Biden mentioned wanting Michelle Obama to be his Vice President. During his appearance at “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Biden was asked if he ever asked for the advice of Michelle Obama. Following loud cheers from the audience, he said, “Only to be my vice president.”
Michelle Obama’s stand on entering politics after husband’s term in the White House
Despite Michelle Obama’s declarations on several occasions that she is not considering entering politics, the author of the best-selling book “Becoming” is still very popular among voters. In the previous months, various polls showed that she would easily lead the run for the Democratic nomination in different states.
In almost every interview Michelle Obama has had since becoming and after being the first lady has always included the question of what she thinks about entering politics. And, every time, she insisted on not having any interest in it. She told Conan O’Brien in a podcast last year, their eight-year stay in the White House was enough, and that they would now rather focus on training the next leaders.
