In a message posted on social media platform X, Sheinbaum noted that the conversation focused on collaboration across “diverse topics” and reaffirmed the two countries' willingness to work closely. While details of the discussion were not disclosed, both sides emphasized a positive tone.
The call came just before the scheduled G7 summit in Canada, where Sheinbaum and Trump were originally set to meet in person. However, Trump left the summit early, prompting the leaders to speak by phone instead.
