Kate is the Founding Director of not-for-profit research centre the Planetary Accounting Network. Kate is an engineer, sustainability scientist, and consultant who has a background in sustainable building design. During her work in the built environment she noticed a increasingly large gap between the science of sustainability and business and government policy and action. To address this gap, Kate developed the concept of planetary accounting under the umbrella of a PhD. Kate's vision is that planetary accounting could help people to live within the planet's limits.
