Gideon Cohn-Postar studies nineteenth-century American History with an emphasis on race, politics, and voting rights in the post-Civil War era. His secondary interests include imperialism, military history, and Atlantic World studies.
Born in Berkeley, California, Gideon received his B.A. in history from the University of California, Davis where he completed 3 honors theses as part of the University Honors Program. After graduating in 2013 he assisted with the creation and implementation of a new Honors Program.
