PhD in Computational Physics, University of Cambridge
Australian, currently living in the UK. I'm completing my PhD in Physics with the support of a General Sir John Monash Scholarship.
My PhD project uses computational modelling to study 'magnetic flow control' for spacecraft reentering earth's atmosphere. Therefore, my key research interests include fluid mechanics, plasma dynamics, space technology and high performance computing.
My broader scientific and academic interests include science communication, tech ethics and education. Through teaching I've become especially interested in the way we learn and understand mathematics, and have previously worked as a research assistant on two projects studying spatial and quantitative reasoning in undergraduate engineering students.
