Abi is currently studying for her PhD which explores the political economy of stigmatisation in Liverpool and the impacts on governance and policy. Previous research has focused on the impacts of urban regeneration initiatives in local communities in Liverpool, which are driven by both public and private interests and the politics of truth in the aftermath of the Hillsborough Disaster (1989).
