I am a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge where I run a research group (https://www.phar.cam.ac.uk/research/Smith) and teach science and medicine/veterinary medicine students. I am also a Fellow of Corpus Christi College, teaching any student studying pharmacology.
I am part of the university's Naked Mole Rat Initiative, which aims to bring together experts in different scientific areas to identify molecular explanations for the highly unusual physiology of this species.
