Professor Moses John Bockarie obtained his MSc and PhD from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. In 2016, he was awarded the Mackay Medal, for outstanding work in tropical health, by the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, in the United Kingdom. Professor Moses John Bockarie is currently the Director of International Cooperation (Africa) and Head of Africa Office at the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP). He is also an adjunct Professor at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA. Prior to joining EDCTP in 2016, Professor Bockarie was Professor of Tropical Health Sciences, and Director of the Centre for Neglected Tropical Diseases, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. EDCTP is hosted in South Africa by the South African Medical Research Council.
