Huntington Station, New York, Feb. 20, 2018 -- Teq, the leading educational technology and professional development company, has named Chrissy Rebert as its new Vice President of Instructional Solutions. In this newly created role, Chrissy will be driving strategic initiatives around the effective integration of technology into instruction and working directly with schools to design successful technology plans. She will report directly to the CEO.
"We are very fortunate to have such an exceptional person join our team," said Damian Scarfo, Teq's CEO. "Chrissy is passionate about the success of our customers, and she is going to be essential to the growth of our professional development business."
Chrissy brings 20 years of education industry experience to Teq. As an Education Strategist with SMART Technologies, she worked with the largest school districts in the US and Eastern Canada on solutions and the research that supported the adoption of the latest technology trends. She aligned products to districts' strategic plans and gathering information that would inform future product development.
Her background in teaching has shaped Chrissy's approach to education tech. "Technology solutions can level the playing field and play a huge role in helping students to meet their educational outcomes," Chrissy said. "I’m committed to supporting districts in the successful integration of technology and helping them balance those needs with high-quality professional development -- exactly what Teq is known for."
Chrissy joins Teq at a time when the company's professional development services are more popular than ever before. In January, Teq Online PD, the company’s online professional development subscription platform, had over 12,000 courses completed by educators across the U.S. Later this year, Teq plans on launching new professional development programs focused on developing school leaders.
