The Smithfield Rewards photo-realistic portal allows loyal fans to interact with the town’s real-life architectural structures, including the Taste of Smithfield, a restaurant-retailer where participants can manage their accounts and earn loyalty points. Additional buildings from the town of Smithfield, such as the post office and Isle of Wight Museum, will be added to the portal throughout the year to provide consumers with more chances to interact with the brand and town, earn additional rewards points, and invite friends to join.
The first grand prize sweepstakes winner will receive a complete kitchen makeover, with interior decorating tips from a premier design consultant. Fans can also redeem their points for a selection of other must-have prizes like an autographed Smithfield Racing fire suit, a $300 spa gift card, a year’s supply of Smithfield bacon, and many more monthly sweepstakes prizes that will be added throughout the year.
“Smithfield is excited to provide its fans with a glimpse into the heart, heritage, and flavor of charming Smithfield, Va., which has been home to our company since 1936,” said Michael Merritt, Smithfield Foods senior director of brand marketing. “We know that thousands of consumers are filling up their grocery baskets with Smithfield bacon, sausage, and ham every day, so we’re offering a unique fan experience and rewarding customers for their purchases as a way to say ‘thank you.’”
