INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 07, 2017 -- Vision Investments, the exclusive importer of SONAX car care products in the United States (www.sonaxusa.com), has been named the Official Car Care Provider to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. SONAX, the German market leader in premium car care products, established in 1950, has distribution channels in over 100 countries.
SONAX has had ties with the auto racing industry globally since 1989. SONAX was a sponsor of Formula One racing since 1996 with such teams as Infiniti Red Bull Racing and McLaren Mercedes. SONAX is currently sponsoring Daniel Abt at Formula E with ABT Schaffler Audi Sport, Monster Drifting Athlete Steve Biagioni, Piotr Parys Jr. at Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and IndyCar. Last year at SEMA, SONAX announced the Hoonigan Racing Division with Ken Block sponsorship. “We are very honored to be selected as the Official Car Care Provider to such an impressive collection,” said Rob McCrary, Managing Director of Vision Investments, the SONAX representative in the United States. “Each car in the collection requires exceptional care that the SONAX brand can further enhance,” he said.
“I was aware of the SONAX brand, but it wasn’t until the crew from Velocity Channel’s “Competition Ready” worked on two of our Duesenbergs that I realized the extent and quality of the products,” said Betsy Smith, Executive Director of the Foundation that operates the Museum. “Since that time, we’ve been working with the people at SONAX to use their products on our collection. These aren’t just cars, they’re a part of racing history,” she went on to say.
SONAX recently was used to prepare a 1928 Isotta Fraschini for the Pebble Beach Concours and a 1949 Jaguar (previously driven by Clark Gable) for a display at Conner Prairie in Indianapolis. SONAX also recently was used to prepare an exhibit of original Camaro pace cars for both the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 circuits.
