The new PlayStation 5 is coming, but it got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. But on the bright side, this gave Sony some time to correct flaws and improve the console further.
PS5 event reveal rumor
While it was already announced by Sony that it would launch the PlayStation 5 this holiday, there are emerging reports that say a reveal event for PS5 has been planned for June 4. This speculation started after fans pointed out that in the latest digital edition of Official PlayStation Magazine (OPM), it was revealed that a PlayStation 5 reveal is happening in May.
However, this appeared to be false when the OPM UK refuted the report via Twitter. It stated that the information that was published in the magazine was only referring to the games for the PlayStation 5, and it is not a reveal event. “There will be PS5 games coverage in the issue on sale July but this is not a reference to a Sony event,” the tweet reads.
In any case, Jeffrey Grubb, a reporter for Games Beat suddenly stated that the reveal event has been indeed scheduled and it will be on June 4. So, while the May schedule has been debunked, this claimed for June has yet to be confirmed.
PS5 specifications
For the specs of the PlayStation 5, Sony posted the details in its launch date announcement. The new console surely has the best specifications so far.
“We’ve begun to unveil more details behind the technical and hardware components that make PlayStation 5 such an innovative and powerful platform – the ultra-high-speed SSD, integrated custom I/O system, custom AMD GPU with ray tracing, and highly immersive 3D audio,” Sony posted. “With these capabilities, PS5 will allow developers to maximize their creativity, building expansive worlds and new play experiences in the games they design.”

Meanwhile, as fans wait for the release of the PlayStation 5, some games that it will come with it were already announced. For instance, Ubisoft confirmed that “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” that was unveiled recently, is coming to PS5 this holiday, as per Venture Beat. “Quantum Error,” “Godfall,” “Gods and Monsters” and “Outriders” have all been confirmed as well.
