Pentax Releases Updated K-1 Mark II DSLR Camera

NEW YORK, Feb. 21, 2018 -- B&H Photo would like to share the announcement of the Pentax K-1 Mark II DSLR Camera, an updated full-frame model with improved processing and image quality. Most of these improvements are provided by the addition of a Ricoh Accelerator Unit to work with the PRIME IV image processor and 36.4MP CMOS sensor. The most dramatic change is a sensitivity range that reaches up to ISO 819200 for low-light photography. The K-1 Mark II also features an advanced Pixel Shift Resolution II mode, which uses the SR II system to capture multiple frames and then compile them into one image with more accurate colors and increased detail.

Pentax K-1 Mark II delivers high-quality imagery using an advanced 36.4MP CMOS sensor that is designed to create detailed images with minimal noise. APS-C crop mode will allow full compatibility with existing APS-C format lenses A high 0.7x magnification, and the rear 3.2" 1.04m-dot LCD sports a unique Cross-Tilt design for easy positioning to work at a variety of angles.

This model builds upon its predecessor, but retains many of the features that made it appealing to nature and landscape photographers. This includes advanced functions like AstroTracer and an AA Filter Simulator, as well as a rugged body design that incorporates LEDs and a red-light LCD mode for use at night. The K-1 Mark II also offers users a unique 3.2" Cross-Tilt LCD, a 0.7x optical viewfinder, built-in Wi-Fi and GPS, and much more.

The K-1 Mark II will be available as a body only or as a kit with a 28-105mm lens.
