MONTVALE, N.J., Dec. 13, 2017 -- Oncology Services International (OSI), the world’s leading independent service organization for radiation oncology devices, today announced its expanded ISO certifications. Having held the ISO 9001 certification for many years, OSI has now added another level of quality assurance with the ISO 13485 certification.
The letter from NSF International Strategic Registrations states: “It is with great pleasure that I can officially confirm that Oncology Services Int’l will be Registered/Re-Certified and Upgraded to: ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 13485:2016.” The letter from Lead Auditor William J. Anderson continues: “Oncology Services International is a very proactive company and it was demonstrated throughout all facilities reviewed.”
ISO 9001 certification is recognized worldwide and is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, support of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. ISO 13485, an additional quality certification specifically for the medical device industry, focuses on key quality aspects such as product safety, corrective and preventive action, and risk management.
“All of us at OSI are proud of this accomplishment and the important commitment to quality assurance and continual improvement that it represents,” stated Richard J. Hall, OSI President and CEO. “It reinforces our position as the industry leading alternative to the OEM for cost effective service and maintenance.”
