(NASDAQ:NXEO), a leading global chemicals and plastics distributor, was recently named ‘Runner Up’ in Sustainable Manufacturing at the Manufacturer Leaders Awards for 2017, in recognition of Nexeo Solutions’ extensive carbon footprint reduction efforts and sustainability savings delivered to customers.
Winners of the Manufacturing Leaders Awards 2017 were announced in an exclusive ceremony in Boston, Massachusetts. The event celebrated outstanding achievements in the manufacturing industry across six categories, with finalists from leading global organizations including IBM, BASF, Walmart, and AkzoNobel.
Nexeo Solutions won the ‘Runner Up’ title for Sustainable Manufacturing, with its carbon footprint reduction project. The Company evaluated trucking and operational activities to calculate its carbon footprint and track sustainability savings delivered to customers over the course of 4 years.
