One of the highly anticipated titles for PlayStation owners is the “Ghost of Tsushima.” Unfortunately, recent leaks suggest that the release date of Sucker Punch Productions’ action-adventure game might be moved to a later date.

‘Ghost of Tsushima’ release date rumors

There are recent rumors saying that the “Ghost of Tsushima” release date might be moved to a later date. According to Games Radar, PlayStation Canada might have unintentionally leaked a possible delay of the action-adventure title.

A user noted that PlayStation Canada’s listing for the “Ghost of Tsushima” showed the date “08/01/2020” as its release date. The original release date of the game was previously announced to be June 26.

What’s even more confusing is the product page of the game on the PlayStation Canada site. It shows the original June 26 release date located at the top of the page but also shows August 1 at the bottom of the page.

The game’s release date being postponed is not really that surprising for anyone as most product launches have been postponed these days due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, it appears that the August 1 date shown on the PlayStation Canada site might just be a plain typo error. According to Digital Spy, the August 1 date on PlayStation Canada’s site has now been changed back to the original launch date of June 26.

‘Ghost of Tsushima’ rating

Meanwhile, a new rating for the game suggests that it won’t likely experience delays in its release date. The rating, which is intended for Australian gamers, also suggests that the title’s content might be a bit brutal and only suitable for older players.

The Australian rating board gave the “Ghost of Tsushima” a Mature MA15+ rating, according to Game Rant. The rating also said that the upcoming title aims to bring the first Mongol invasion of Japan to PlayStation consoles as authentically as possible.

For American audiences, the “Ghost of Tsushima” is rated as Mature 17+ by the ESRB. The rating board also said that the game contains partial nudity, intense violence, and blood and gore. Violence is to be expected as the game will feature the intense action of samurai battles.
