Miley Cyrus reportedly marrying Cody Simpson in Australia amid COVID-19 outbreak

Miley Cyrus is allegedly planning to marry her current boyfriend, Cody Simpson. The two are said to be preparing for their wedding that will be held in Gold Coast, Queensland, where the latter lives.

Miley and Cody’s Australian wedding details

As per NW magazine, Cyrus and Cody will tie the knot after the former Disney star’s performance in Melbourne on March 13. She will participate in the World Tour Bushfire Relief charity concert, but then it was reported today that the event had been canceled as the pop star withdrew due to the Coronavirus outbreak in many countries.

In any case, the wedding will be a lavish beach event since this is what pop star wants, and it’s totally her style. It will be a wild party that is so like Miley, where the drink servers will even be requested to do their work in gold bikinis. They will make sure to give out drinks throughout the event in their skimpy getup.

“Miley knows it’s trashy, but it’s her style to a tee,” the source supposedly told NW. “She wants to throw ‘the mother of all parties in a penthouse afterwards, complete with bottle service and strippers in every room.”

Is Miley marrying Cody for love?

There are speculations that Miley Cyrus is tying the knot with Cody Simpson to get back at Liam Hemsworth. It was said that this is one way to get revenge from her ex-husband since he also lives very near the wedding venue, which is the Gold Coast.

“Miley can be such a brat,” the tipster said. “I wouldn’t put it past her to send him an invitation just to not-so-subtly remind him she’s happier without him!”

The truth

This story from NW seems suspicious, so the fact-checking site, Gossip Cop, investigated to know the truth. It noted that Miley Cyrus already canceled her appearance for the charity concert, so it means she will not be flying to Australia anymore due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With that said, it is clear that no wedding is taking place in the Land Down Under for the pop star. To further make sure that the wedding report is false, GC also contacted someone close to Cyrus, and it was confirmed that the story is not true, and no revenge against Liam Hemsworth is happening.
