Major of Kansas City and Other Dignitaries to Attend Iron Workers’ Contractor Open House
Iron Workers Local 10 Will Host a Contractor Open House to Showcase Apprenticeship Program and Announce Partnership with OSHA
Who: Iron Workers (IW) Local 10 will host an open house tomorrow morning to showcase the apprenticeship program and training. Kansas City Mayor Sly James, Mayor Pro Tem Scott Wagner and new Deputy Director of OSHA Region 7 Kim Stillie will attend the event. The IW regional leadership and many contractors are expected at the event.

What:
The open house will showcase the apprenticeship program and Local 10 will address recent advances, pre-apprenticeship program and training. Information regarding upcoming training opportunities will be disseminated. Guests will be given the opportunity to tour the training facility.
The IW's newly signed, region-wide partnership agreement with OSHA Region 7 to address safety and health issues affecting the ironworking industry will be announced at the event. The partnership is the first of its kind in the region.
