Dayton, Ohio, May 11, 2017 -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services, cybersecurity and product solutions, announced today that key executives and senior leaders will present new and innovative technologies during the 2017 Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC). Booth demonstrations will include a presentation on the Big Data Platform (BDP) and Analytics, as well as Project Erebus, MacB’s Tactical Wireless Exploitation Platform. The conference begins at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida on Monday, May 15 and will continue through Thursday, May 18.
SOFIC provides a forum for members of the U.S. military, partnering nations, government professionals and industry stakeholders to discuss how to best support global Special Operations Forces (SOF) in today’s challenging environment. The conference theme in 2017 is “Win-Transform-People”, which reflects the vision of U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) to win the current fight, transform capabilities and equipment for future threats, and focus on greatest resource of SOF operators and their families.
During the conference, MacB will provide walk-throughs and demonstrations of several newly developed leading-edge products including Project Erebus, the BDP and the Information Technology Asset Management Network. See details below:
Big Data Platform and Analytics: BDP capabilities provide analysts with the ability to query, evaluate, visualize and monitor petabytes of data across the network. The BDP incorporates intuitive tools and user-friendly interfaces, and also provides multiple ways for analysts to share knowledge about cyber threats and mitigation. The BDP tactical solution deploys a complete cloud environment with lightweight, localized analytics to a laptop on the ground with the ability to push data up to an enterprise-level platform for large-scale mission correlations. This cloud-based solution was developed by MacB’s Enlighten IT Group (EITG) for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The BDP is currently used by mission partners across the Department of Defense.
Project Erebus: Erebus is a Tactical Wireless Exploitation Platform tailored specifically for the Special Operations community to identify, characterize and disrupt wireless networks at a standoff distance of up to 300 meters. This TRL 8 system maximizes the use of off-the-shelf components with custom software and an integrated menu-driven user interface. The platform provides the SOF community with automated wireless capabilities that are cutting-edge, and highly customizable on a quick reaction basis to suit a wide range of mission objectives.
IT Asset Management Network-Discovery (ITAM-ND): The Asset Manager Network Discovery Software from MacB, powered by xAssets, enables organizations of all sizes to discover their network quickly without side effects and without deploying agents. The software includes a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) allowing Hardware Inventory, IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management and Software License Compliance from within a single browser application. Both small and large enterprises benefit from the configuration options and scalability offered by the software. Complex and unusual requirements can be met and new functionality can also be added.
Additionally, MacB President and CEO Sid Fuchs will attend the Senior Industry Executive Forum on Wednesday, May 17 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The large-company event is held each year for pre-selected senior executives including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers and Presidents to discuss high-level initiatives, budgetary concerns and growth opportunities in today’s defense environment.
“For more than 25 years, the SOF community has relied on MacB to provide innovative engineering and technical services in support of the most challenging and ever-changing mission requirements,” said Mr. Fuchs. “Company analysts, engineers, scientists, trainers and other experts work diligently behind-the-scenes to ensure that our proven technology, cybersecurity and system designs effectively support Special Operations Forces around the globe.”
