Shiels has more than a decade of experience in the insurance industry. Most recently, Shiels comes from Aon where he was Senior Vice President in the San Francisco office, focused on building and managing colleague teams to provide risk advisory, consulting, and brokerage services to clients in the Real Estate, Technology, Financial Institution, and Food & Beverage industries. Prior to that, Shiels managed a team of property brokerage professionals in San Francisco, overseeing all aspects of the design, negotiation, and implementation of large and complex commercial property insurance placements for clients in the Bay Area and throughout the West Coast.
Shiels will be based in San Francisco, where his primary focus will be on client development within JLT’s Real Estate Practice and leading JLT teams in exemplary service. Shiels will play a pivotal role in offering insights on the insurance marketplace and delivering specialized solutions for JLT’s clients by leveraging his notable experience in the field.
