The God of War franchise has been one of the most beloved video game properties in modern history and the latest iteration titled God of War is officially set to be released on April 20th. This date is also notable to a lot of people because 4/20 is what cannabis enthusiasts consider their Christmas. Along with the release date, a new trailer is also in the wild. Viewers, be warned; it may contain spoilers.

As fans of the series already know, this upcoming GOW game is a reboot of the franchise, featuring new locations, new mechanics, and new characters. Though it seems that it is technically a continuation of the first three games, it can roughly be considered its own thing.

The protagonist, Kratos will trudge through Norse mythology along with his son and based on the video that Sony released, there will be quite a few dead gods involved. Anyone who would rather start the game with fresh eyes might not want to watch the clip. For those who don’t mind a little spoiler, here it is:

Even though it is a PlayStation 4 exclusive, based on the trailer alone, the game looks absolutely stunning, as Forbes points out. The leap in graphical quality compared to previous GOW games was already apparent in previous videos released, but there was always the question of how good the final product is going to be. Now fans have a better idea.

On the PlayStation Blog, where the announcement was first made by the game’s director Cory Barlog, there will apparently be some really sweet pre-order and Special Edition offers on the table. Reserving the game from select retailers will net gamers stat bonuses at the start of the game and there will be a Collector’s Edition worth $130 that features a statue of Kratos and his son, Atreus.
