MOJAVE, Calif., April 06, 2017 -- Flight Research, Inc. and the Citation Jet Pilots Association have partnered in an effort to increase safety awareness. This aligns with the CJP Safety Committee mission to engage with its CJP members on methods and procedures for operating their Citation aircraft in the safest possible manner.
CJP President, Kirk Samuelson, is scheduled to undergo training at the Flight Research headquarters in historic Mojave, CA. “We greatly look forward to Kirk’s participation in our course,” said Flight Research CEO and veteran Bill Korner.
“We are excited to partner with Flight Research to promote their Upset Recognition and Recovery Training (URRT) courses,” said CJP Executive Director Andrew Broom. “Flight Research has created a Citation specific course that includes ground training, as well as flight training in the owner’s Citation and in a MB-326 Impala with a Flight Research instructor.”
'Loss of Control In-Flight' is the leading cause of aviation accidents, and this applies to all aircraft. Pilots must recognize that they should be well prepared for any situation that would arise. To be the best pilot, it is necessary to be able to recognize and recover from various abnormal situations.
A founding member of CJP, Jorgen Anderson, of JAI also trained at Flight Research. Completing the URRT course, the founder stated, “There is much need for this type of training. I went on Flight Research’s upset training course and I used my S211. I think that it is the best experience I have ever spent my time on. I believe that CJP members who mostly fly complex business jets single pilot should participate in such course.”
Look for Flight Research during the CJP Annual Convention at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, AZ from October 4 to 7.
