FT. MYERS, Fla., Feb. 23, 2016 -- Azul Cosmetic Surgery & Medical Spa is pleased to announce that they will now be offering the CoolMini as a treatment option for double chins. The CoolMini has just been approved by the FDA and is actually an attachment for the CoolSculpting device. Much like CoolSculpting, the CoolMini is used to freeze fat cells. This process eventually destroys them.
Dr. Flaharty of Azul Cosmetic Surgery & Medical Spa provides more information, “The CoolMini doesn’t require any injections. There’s also little downtime. One session takes approximately an hour to complete and we can remove about one-third of the fat cells. We’ve seen great results with this new tool, but it seems to work best on more mature skin.” He goes on to say that it’s best to talk to your doctor about Kybella and CoolMini and together make the decision that’s right for you.
Typically, about three Kybella treatments are required and they’re usually spaced approximately four to six weeks apart. The cost ranges from $5,000 to $6,000. CoolMini only requires one or two treatments and costs $1,000 per treatment, making it the less-expensive choice. With both treatments, expect some soreness and swelling in the affected area. With Kybella, patients have reported redness and numbness for up to one month.
CoolMini is a good choice for those who don’t like injections, but only the patient and doctor can decide what’s right for each individual and certain problem areas and skin types.
