Adacel Systems Inc. (Adacel or the Company) recapped their activities at the 2017 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC), where visitors were able to engage with some of the latest in Adacel’s advanced simulation technology.

Adacel’s focus at this year’s event was on interoperable systems that can be readily used for both fixed base and deployed training. Featured was an Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower simulation system (TSS) housed in a mock control tower building. The TSS was integrated with an ATNAVICS radar simulator remoted from the mock tower complex. The setup drew a very positive reaction from visitors as it highlighted how true to life and immersive a simulated environment can be.
Also featured was Adacel’s ATCiB platform, which is an advanced Simulated ATC Environment (SATCE) for teaching air traffic control procedures to pilots. ATCiB provides an automated ATC environment for any flight simulator and what Adacel refers to as a Second Seat to provide immersive ATC communication training for the ab initio pilot and crew training.
All of the simulators displayed employed Adacel’s state-of-the-art LEXIX speech recognition systems, which reduce or eliminate the need for supporting role players.
“Once again ITSEC proved to be an excellent opportunity to meet with clients in the defense sector. The quality of the leads generated at the show is very encouraging for future business”, said Brian Hennessey, Adacel VP Business Development and Strategic Innovation. “We find it to be an excellent venue to judge the merit of new technology and to meet potential innovation partners.”
Adacel is a sustaining member of the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA) and already has plans to exhibit at I/ITSEC again in 2018.
