Sumit Kumar is a foreign policy analyst whose research papers have been published in national and international journals of repute and in edited volumes. He regularly writes on issues regarding India’s foreign policy, Asia-Pacific, South Asia for major news daily in India and Abroad including the Statement, the Pioneer, the Diplomat, the Daily Times, the New Indian Express, the Sunday Guardian, the Deccan Herald, the Daily News Analysis, the National Interest and others. His articles have also been published by the London School of Economic and Political Science, the East Asia Forum, Centre for Land and Warfare Studies and the institute of Peace and Conflict Studies.
He is a researcher at the UGC Centre for Southern Asia Studies at Pondicherry University and a guest contributor at Middle East Institute, Washington D. C. He has presented papers in national and international conferences. His area of interest is India-US relations, security issues in South Asia.
